A fire that started in a mattress in a Castlemaine home was under control when CFA crews arrived.
The fire was reported in Bowden Street at 10.25pm on Friday night.
A CFA spokeswoman said four units responded – two from Castlemaine and two from Campbells Creek.
“The fire was brought under control very quickly and was almost out by the time CFA arrived,” she said.
“One person was taken to hospital with very minor burns and smoke inhalation.”
At about 1.30am, Castlemaine and Campbells Creek crews were called to respond to a small grass fire near the railway tracks in Pleasant Street.
Crews took 10 minutes to bring it under control.
