PERFORMANCES
LIME CORDIALE
Lime Cordiale released their debut album, Permanent Vacation in late 2017 and since then have played countless sold out shows across Australia.
The duo then played the festival, The Squeeze, which travelled up and down the East Coast.
More recently they’ve taken their unique brand of music to New Zealand where the sold out sign was hung across venues.
Lime Cordiale are now set to play a string of tours across 20 metro and regional cities.

BUSH POETS
Bendigo and Central Goldfields Bush Poets present a free concert.
This end-of-year Christmas concert will feature lots of great entertainment, bush poetry, music and various yarns.
Walk up bush poets and musicians are welcome.

EXHIBITIONS
FRIDA KAHLO: HER PHOTOS
Featuring photos from the extensive archive of the Casa Azul (Blue House), this exhibition showcases highlights from the personal collection of Frida Kahlo.
Frida Kahlo is considered one of the most celebrated artists of the 20th century and her interests are reflected in this series of photographs, family, loves, the medical, politics and much more.
The exhibition also reveals Kahlo’s passion for collecting historical photographs as reference material for her work.

DEMOLISH
In a world premiere, this performance of dance, theatre, lighting effects, video projection and music sets the scene for DEMOLISH.
DEMOLISH was created by local theatre-makers Rebecca Russell and Ken Evans from Clunes and it explores how the Australian landscape has changed since colonisation.
There are themes of nature, landscape, the future and much more.

THE TWO OF US
Local artist Mark Dober and daughter Emily have a joint exhibition of drawings called The Two of Us.
Emily Dober is an emerging artist who has autism and her drawings are inspired by pop culture, reflecting fashion.
Her father Mark Dober, an independent artist, work shows drawings made from life.
Mark is delighted to be sharing the family’s work together for the first time.

SCULPTURE EXHIBITION AND TRAIL
In recent weeks, some awe-inspiring outdoor sculptures have been installed on the lawns of the Hanging Rock Winery in preparation for the Art in the Vines Sculpture Exhibition and Trail.
One of Australia’s most well-known sculptors, Geoffrey Bartlett, has signed on to participate and has created his piece “Embrace #2” especially for the Art in the Vines.
Other sculptors who have pieces on display have their work on show at the likes of The Met Museum in New York, The National Gallery of Australia and other international spaces.

FLORAL TRANSIENCE
Sharon Greenaway is a photographic artist exploring the goldfield flowers.
The native flowers in Bendigo can be small and have a short flowering time, therefore not many people may see them.
Greenaway aims to highlight the flowers’ beauty in order to help with their conservation.
As well as the photographic art pieces on the wall, there will also be some of Greenaway’s wearable art.

GOTHIC BEAUTY
Curated by Tansy Curtin and Jessica Bridgfoot (and as a Bendigo Art Gallery exclusive), this exhibition takes a look into early Victorian rituals of mourning, as early as the 1800s.
The artists featured in the exhibition range from Jane Burton, Bill Henson and Janet Beckhouse just to name a few.
This exhibition draws on works from the gallery's historic collections, as well as loaned pieces and works from contemporary artists.

COMMUNITY EVENTS
CARRIAGE DRIVING
The “Pyrenees Range Pleasure Drivers” is an Australian Carriage Driving Society affiliated club.
The club takes part in pleasure drives, instruction days, dressage and more fun activities.
This event features, talks about harness and carts, discussions and demonstrations, a barbecue lunch, tea and coffee and much more.
Visitors are also welcome to have a drive if they’re not members, they will just to need to fill in a form which will be given to the club secretary.

EVENING DANCE
Enjoy an evening of upbeat music, good company and a jive at this Saturday evening dance.
The evening event features music by Family Rhythm dance band, a home cooked supper and a good program.
There will also be a raffle with prizes for all to enjoy.
