A woman has been convicted, fined $750 and banned from driving after crashing into a parked vehicle and recording a blood alcohol level more than two times the legal limit.

Ebony Kerr, 30, pleaded guilty in the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday to careless driving and exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.
The court heard Kerr was driving in Golden Square about 1.30am on March 3 this year when she crashed into a parked vehicle, causing extensive damage to both it and the car she was driving.
Kerr undertook a breath test at Bendigo police station about 4.15 that morning and gave a reading of 0.112. Her vehicle was impounded.
She told police she had consumed three schooners of cider over four hours.
Magistrate John Murphy said the drink-driving charge warranted conviction, but took into account her financial means when imposing the fine.
Kerr’s licence was also disqualified and cancelled for the minimum 11 months, from March 3.
