The program targeted small and micro tourism businesses in the Central Goldfields, Loddon, Mount Alexander and City of Greater Bendigo municipalities.
Eighteen mentors individually worked with business operators on a range of topics like social media, email marketing and search engine optimisation.
Central Goldfields Shire Chief Administrator Noel Harvey said the program had been a great success.
“We have had a really positive response from businesses from across the region.
“Many small tourism businesses face challenges in relation to growing their business and obtaining appropriate strategic training customised to their business, due to geographical location, business size, cost and the constantly changing digital landscape.
“The training delivered by this program will help businesses not just work better online, but ensure their digital marketing and business initiatives align with the broader Bendigo Regional Tourism brand and direction.
“Visitors to our region are looking for great experiences and are increasingly researching, booking and reviewing their trips online.”
