The team defeated Waverley Christian College 143-76, playing a format of cricket similar to T20.
Co-captain Octavia Di Donato said the entire team went above and beyond to secure the win.
“All the girls put in their best effort,” Di Donato said.
“We used the same line-up of players as we did last year and our win shows that all of the hard work and training has definitely paid off,” Di Donato said.
The team’s top run scorers during the state final were Abby 26, Steph 21, Kristen 20 and Taylor 15.
Bendigo South East College cricket coach Dennis McCormick said the Year 8 squad was a wonderful team to coach.
“They’ve won three titles over the past two years so you can’t ask for much more,” McCormick said.
“They continue to improve every time they play.
“It was a very convincing win for the girls and it was thoroughly deserved.”
McCormick said the girls worked well as a team, which was evident in their series of victories.
“From the first time we picked the squad around 12 months ago they’ve all continued to turn up for training and perform really well,” he said
“They’re all a good group of mates as well which really helped to build a great team environment.”
