LEITCHVILLE-Gunbower may have a new look in the Heathcote District Football-Netball League next season.
The Bombers have called a community meeting for next month to discuss the possibility of the club changing colours to avoid future clashes with rival clubs White Hills and Heathcote.
The Bombers – who joined the HDFNL in 2010 – wear a black guernsey with a red sash, which has created clash issues with the red and black jumper of White Hills and red, black and white jumper of Heathcote.
As such the Bombers have worn a predominantly grey clash jumper in those games in recent seasons.
The community meeting will be held at the Gunbower Complex on December 12 at 7.30pm.
“It’s getting a bit too much ordering two sets of jumpers and netball dresses for the clashes, so it’s something we need to look at,” Bombers secretary Grace Jones said on Thursday.
“So we thought we’d put it out to the public to see what they think because we’re a community club.
“We were the last team into the league, so it’s our issue to solve and that’s what we’ll look to do, but whatever happens, we’ll still be the Leitchville-Gunbower Bombers.”
For more information on the meeting contact Jones on 0457 500 009.
