Hickman will be racing at the SRA Victorian Open Sprintcar Title at the Premier Speedway at Warrnambool.
Despite a few minor setbacks over the last few races of Hickman’s season – including engine troubles and a crash at the Avalon Raceway – he is determined to improve his on-track performances.
“It’s only the start of the season and there are plenty of races still yet to come,” Hickman said.
“I’m going to focus on ensuring I finish the races instead of falling out of the race because of avoidable reasons.”
A highlight of the season so far was a top-10 finish at Round 3 of the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series.
He will be putting rubber to dirt again this Saturday night at Warrnambool on a track he considers to be one of his favourites on the annual sprintcar calendar.
“Either way I’m always excited to race, regardless of where the track is,” he said.
