Passers-by noticed the silver 1997 Holden Commodore alight just before 4am this morning in Lockwood, a police spokesperson said.
The car was burning on a bushland track near Crusoe Road.
CFA crews from Lockwood and Kangaroo Flat responded to the incident.
Over the weekend a car was stolen from Lobb Street Bendigo and torched at the Long Gully Community Centre.
Police yesterday appealed for anyone who had yet to share information about that theft or fire to share it as they continued their investigations.
People could contact the Bendigo Police Station or Crimestoppers.
More to come.
