The well-travelled 38-year-old has won premierships with Tullamarine (2003), Maribrynong Park (2009, 2010), Tatura (2012) and Deer Park (2013, 2015).
He played one season in the BFNL in 2016 with Kangaroo Flat before spending 2017 and 2018 with Coreen Daysdale Hopefield Buraja United in the Hume Football League.
After winning the CDHBU best and fairest in 2017, Broadbent’s 2018 season was cut short when he suffered a fractured ankle.
“The way Shannon plays he’s pretty much one of the hardest working midfielder going around, so he’ll be able to help teach the younger midfielders we have in there,’’ Colbo coach Julian Bull said.
