GISBORNE has added yet another one-point star signing to its list for the 2019 Bendigo Football-Netball League season in key defender James Ferry.
Ferry – who has overcome two serious knee injuries already in his career – has signed with the Bulldogs after five years in the VFL system with Essendon, while he is also a former TAC Cup player with the Calder Cannons.
The 24-year-old is the second key defender the Bulldogs have added during what has been a strong off-season recruiting campaign, with Tim Walsh also returning to Gisborne following a three-year stint with Riddell.
Clinton Young is coaching the Bulldogs for a second season, with the club well poised to strongly build on its fifth-placed finish of 2018.
