RED Alto followed up its Bendigo Cup victory with a ninth-place finish in Saturday’s Group Three Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2600m) at Flemington.
Ridden by jockey Michael Walker, who also piloted the six-year-old gelding to its Bendigo Cup triumph, Red Alto finished 5.85 lengths off winner Jaameh.
Meanwhile, Saturday’s feature race at Flemington, the Mackinnon Stakes (2000m), was won by the Jarrod McLean-trained Trap for Fools.
