After the Australian women made 4-130 off 20 overs against South Africa in Guyana, Vlaeminck took the new ball and struck with her first delivery when she dismissed Proteas star Lizelle Lea.
Vlaeminck finished with the fine figures of 2-10 off four overs as the Aussies restricted South Africa to 9-84.
The performance puts her in the frame for selection for Saturday’s opening match of the T20 World Cup against Pakistan.
Australia’s other pool matches are against Ireland on November 12, New Zealand on November 14 and India on November 18.
