Members of the SES, CFA, and police were joined by ambulance crews near the trainlines on Quinns Road.
The man was conscious and talking but an air ambulance was on standby.
Leading Senior Constable Peter Bullock said the car left the road at approximately 6.15pm, did a flip and landed back on its wheels before crashing through a fence into a paddock.
“We’ve spoken to a witness who has indicated there was possibly a kangaroo that he swerved to miss. So when the scene is a bit more clear we will be having a look for skid and swerve marks, etc,” he said.
The man had non-life threatening injuries and Leading Senior Constable Bullock said he would be treated at the Bendigo Hospital.
