Police will investigate the circumstances that led a silver sedan and white four-wheel drive to crash in Kennington on Tuesday afternoon.
Bendigo Highway Patrol Leading Senior Constable Peter Dyer said a silver sedan with L-plates was turning right from Condon Street onto Edwards Road and a white four-wheel drive was travelling west along Condon Street when the incident occurred.
A woman in her 70s, who was the front passenger and an instructing supervisor for the learner driver, was trapped in the vehicle.
She was freed and she and two other people from the sedan were taken to Bendigo Health for observations.
Leading Senior Constable Dyer said one of the four occupants in the four-wheel drive was also taken to Bendigo Health for observations.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said they were aware of two patients related to the multi-vehicle crash.
The first patient had a head injury. They were transported via ambulance to Bendigo hospital in a stable condition.
The second patient, a woman believed to be in her 70s, was trapped in the grey sedan but has since been freed.
She is being transported to hospital by MICA paramedics.
Paramedics were called to the scene at 3.20pm.

EMERGENCY services are on the scene of a crash near Strath Village in Kennington.
Police and Country Fire Authority and ambulance crews are attending.
Police are directing traffic and part of Edwards Road is closed.
The State Emergency Service is working to free someone from a grey sedan with L-plates displayed.
Paramedics are attending to the occupant of a second vehicle, a white Toyota.
The incident occurred about 3.20pm.
