“Crews were able to reduce the number of impacted customers to 101 just before 12.30, with power restored to the remaining customers by 1.45pm,” a spokesperson said.
The company’s outage website attributes a fault affecting customers in Sutton Grange, Redesdale and Harcourt North to storm activity.
An outage affecting almost 100 Shelbourne residents was caused by lightning.
Faults affecting the supply of power to 81 Powercor customers in Walmer, 15 customers in Muckleford and five Maldon customers remain under investigation.
UPDATE 2pm: LIGHTNING is believed to be responsible for the majority of the power outages in the vicinity of Castlemaine and Bendigo earlier today.
Powercor has attributed a fault at Laanecoorie, affecting more than 130 customers in three towns, to lightning.
Premises in Tarnagulla, Newbridge and Woodstock on Loddon are experiencing outages as a result of the fault.
Faults affecting customers in Lockwood South, Lancefield, Redesdale, Sutton Grange, Shelbourne, Walmer and Maldon and Harcourt North remain under investigation.
Power has been restored to a number of the premises that experienced outages earlier today.
UPDATE 12.48pm: FURTHER outages have been reported in the vicinity of Bendigo.
Laanecoorie, Tarnagulla, Newbridge, Woodstock on Loddon, Sutton Grange, Redesdale and Lockwood South are among the affected areas.
EARLIER: A POWER outage is affecting more than 1700 Powercor customers near Castlemaine.
Thirteen towns are affected, with Maldon accounting for the bulk of the customers without power.
A Powercor spokesperson said the power went out just after 12pm.
Crews are on their way.
The cause of the outage has yet to be determined.
