Last year’s dig saw people line up from 7am, eager to get their hands on a few bulbs from the garden beds.
People will be able to purchase bags on the day for $5 each but a bag limit will apply.
Gardeners can bring their own small garden forks and spades (no large shovels or mattocks).
Some 30,000 bulbs were planted in the city’s gardens for the famous tulip display, which was first planted in the mid-2000s.
The dig has been going for about five years now.
The City of Greater Bendigo’s intensive horticulture team plants the tulips each year.
But the tulips last only a month and once they are past their best, they are made available for sale to the public.
Bendigo's Conservatory Gardens will host the tulip dig on November 8 from 9am on November 8.
