The races started at noon and continue until 5.20pm with the Bendigo Cup at 4pm.
Sutton Grange trainer Brent Stanley was Bendigo’s local hope for the cup with his horse Red Alto running.
He ended up the hero of the day when Red Alto won the Bendigo Cup.
Away from the track, Fashions on the Field has proved as popular as ever with the Lady of the Day, Local Lady of the Day, Millinery Award, Elegant Lady, Man of the Day and people’s choice categories all being decided by 3.30pm.
