Children were adorned in facepaint that transformed them into Ninja Turtles and princesses, growing excited when they spotted a glimpse of the three popular movie characters who moved through the crowds.
The rides were – of course – ever popular.
Patrons had a go on everything from the classic dodgem cars to new rides that took them to thrilling heights.
The show also featured an array of animals, as well as the handiwork of cooks, bakers, photographers, craftspeople and artists.
About 10,000 people are expected to visit the showgrounds during the two-day event.
The show will end with a bang on Saturday night with the much-loved 9pm fireworks display.
