Dr Kinder was named winner of the Regional Development Victorian Regional Leadership and Innovation Award at Friday night’s Regional Achievement and Community Awards.
On Tuesday night, she was named Victorian Young Australian of the Year for her work as an advocate for rural health issues.
Dr Kinder was among 10 award recipients on Friday.
Others included the Upper Campaspe Landcare Network, which took out the Parks Victoria Environmental Sustainability Award, and aged care residence Goodwin Village at Donald, which won the Prime Super Employer Excellence in Aged Care Award.
The Victorian Regional Achievement and Community Awards aim to encourage, acknowledge and reward the contributions that individuals, communities and businesses make throughout regional and rural Victoria.
