The annual St Paul’s Art Prize has attracted 150 entries this year including 17 in the schools section.
Reverend Ian Smith said it was more than he had aimed for.
“Each year we aim for 125. We have had more than 160 but we don’t want it too crowded,” he said.
“There are quite a lot of acrylics, watercolours and oils. There are also some some pen and ink, some monochrome and photography in school section.
“Friday’s opening is always the biggest because that’s when the judge announces the winners”
The St Paul’s Art Prize is open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. All works are for sale until closing time on Sunday.
