Swan Hill’s Emma Berg and Shepparton’s Antonio Vaitohi went on a record-breaking spree.
A star for South Bendigo Athletics Club, Berg struck gold in the 17-years discus, javelin and shot put.
Berg’s mark of 14.77m at shot put is a new SSV record.
The Swan Hill College student hurled the discus 44.24m, and the javelin to 40.39m.
In the sprints, Vaitohi capitalised on a strong tailwind to break two records.
The Notre Dame College student won the 15-years 100m in 11.12 seconds, and 200m in 22.21.
Bendigo Senior Secondary College’s Ben Powell ran a brilliant race as he won the 17-years 400m in 49.15 seconds and was 3.32 clear of the runner-up.
In the 4 x 100m relays action, Girton Grammar won bronze in the 18-20 boys class.
A great day for Bendigo South East included gold for Hamish Wild, 16-years long jump; and Jayden Padgham won the 12-13 years 1500m and silver in the 800m.
Bendigo South East starred in the 4 x 100m relay duels.
The Dragons struck gold in the 16-boys and 14-boys finals, were third in the 16-girls, 14-girls and 12-13 boys.
The Dragons other medallists were Tullie Rowe, silver 14-years 800m; Sophie Dalton, silver 12-13 long jump; and Wil McCaig, 16-years 800m.
Medal winners from Bendigo Senior SC were Ella Farnell, silver in 17-years triple jump; Gabrielle Rusbridge, bronze in 18-20 years 400m and 800m; MacKenzie Cooper, bronze in 18-20 years shot put.
Girton Grammar’s Anastazia Robinson was third in the 16-years 100m.
Marist College Bendigo’s Jorja Hill hurled the javelin to 32.53m to win silver in the 12-13 years class.
Another of Marist’s young stars, Seb Andrea won bronze in the 12-13 years 400m.
Catholic College Bendigo’s Lewis Merriman won bronze in the 17-years 200m.
Echuca College’s Archie Reid ran the open 3000m in 9:00.44 to claim bronze.
James Bentley represented St Joseph’s Echuca and was runner-up in the 14-years 800m.
Maryborough’s Monique Gavriliadis won silver in the 14-years high jump and bronze at long jump.
