The burn in the are of Edwards Rd, Maiden Gully will cover 116 hectares, 5.5 kilometres west of Bendigo.
A 189 hectares fuel-reduction burn will be carried out in the are of Sydney Flat, Sailors Gully, 7.5 kilometres north west of Bendigo
Both controlled burns will be in the Bendigo Regional Park, with smoke likely to be visible from Bendigo, Maiden Gully, Eaglehawk, Sailors Gully and Kangaroo Flat.
Forest Fire Management said that the burns should be completed between 9am and 8pm on October 25.

If you are experiencing any symptoms that may be due to smoke exposure, the Department of Health and Human Services advises that you should seek medical advice or call nurse on1300 606 024. It is also advised that window and doors are closed to prevent smoke from entering.
Road travel may be hazardous due to low visibility associated with smoke in these areas.
Access to walking tracks, car parks, camping grounds and picnic sites in areas close to or in burn areas may be restricted
