Seven of the eight clubs playing in round one will field a marquee player from Premier Cricket ranks.
Melbourne Stars left-arm leg-spinner Liam Bowe will return to his home club Sandhurst for the Dragons' pool two clash with Kangaroo Flat.
Bowe has played six games for the Stars in the Big Bash League over the past two summers, picking up six wickets.
The Roos have recruited Footscray top-order batsman Matthew Underwood.
Originally from Gisborne, Underwood made 516 runs at first XI level last summer. He’s started this season with scores of 38, 14 and 9.
In the other pool two match, defending BDCA T20 champions White Hills take on Golden Square at Wade Street.
Carlton keeper-batsman Brayden Stepien returns to his home club White Hills after playing a key role in last summer's premiership.
Stepien set a BDCA T20 record last summer when he blasted 136 off just 59 balls against Eaglehawk.
The left-hander already has two half-centuries to his name this season for Carlton.
Golden Square will use Prahran keeper-batsman Ryan Hartley as its marquee player.
Oringinally a Huntly-North Epsom junior, Hartley has five years experience at Premier Cricket level.
He played senior football for Golden Square in 2018.
In pool one, James Ryan will take on his home club when he plays for Eaglehawk against Bendigo at Canterbury Park.
The left-hand batsman and right-arm leg-spinner plays for Essendon in Premier Cricket.
His Essendon team-mate James Seymour will once again be Bendigo's marquee player.
Huntly-North Epsom is at home to Strathdale-Maristians in the second match of pool one.
Monash Tigers' batsman Andrew Chalkley will spearhead the Suns' batting line-up again this summer.
Last summer, Chalkley became the first player in BDCA T20 history to score multiple centuries when he made 130 not out off 67 balls in the Suns' win over Bendigo United.
Huntly-North Epsom was still to finalise its marquee player for the round one clash.
Bendigo United and Strathfieldsaye have the bye in round one.
The top team in each pool at the conclusion of the T20 home and away matches qualify for the grand final at the QEO on January 23.
Tuesday night's round one matches start at 5pm.
