The bridge will include lifts and ramps as well as stairs, to improve accessibility and make it easier for passengers to transport luggage.
The ramps and lifts will lead to both platforms, which will allow more services to run from platform two.
A Bendigo Advertiser reader captured footage of the bridge being put in place overnight to Friday.
Once the overpass is complete, works will be planned to improve the passenger waiting area, bus interchange and taxi area.
A redesign of the car park is also in the works.
Eaglehawk station will also be upgraded with a 100-metre platform extension and 60 new car parking spaces.
Together, the projects cost $15.8 million.
