Paige Ryan and Hunter Lawrence were the winners of the annual Tim Ledwidge Memorial Medal.
Netball votes were awarded across the two competitions which were played.
Ryan was co-captain of her netball team and her “never-give-up attitude” was described as infectious among the squad.
Ryan won with a total of 38 votes, Bridie Semmens finished second on 22 votes and Mikeely Baber finished third with 13 votes.
CMC sports coordinator Maree Pearce was impressed with the commitment from all of the players.
“The whole team played extremely well in all games. Although their results did not see them play finals, the girls were incredible in their efforts and a delight to associate with,” Pearce said.
“Congratulations to all of you on a great year.”
Within the Senior Premier Football League the votes were counted based on the results of CMC’s five matches.
Lawrence, also co-captain of his team, led from the front and his determination and on-field form was obvious in the final vote count.
Lawrence won with 70 votes, Callum McCarty finished second on 36 votes and Zack Shelton third on 31 votes. Followed by Daniel Clohesy on 26 votes and William Wallace on 23 votes.
Pearce said the young men relished every chance to don the CMC jumper this year.
“The entire playing group worked as a team, with everyone demonstrating the consistency and unity that ultimately took them to the grand final,” Pearce said.
“State runners up was also an incredible result and one that they should be very proud of.”
The Memorial Medal is named in honour of the contribution the late Tim Ledwidge made to the school as a teacher and coach.
“In his time as a teacher at our college Tim Ledwidge had a huge influence on the sporting teams and players,” Pearce said.
“He encouraged them to “be the best you can be, no matter what” and this is his legacy to our college’s sporting ethos.”
Tim Ledwidge’s children Liam and Maddison presented the winners with the medal, and 11 previous winners were also present on the night.
Pearce also acknowledged all players on their united performance within their sports.
“They played with pride and were great advocates for our college,” Pearce said.
“In their attitude and endeavour they certainly showed that playing for the school is an invaluable experience and that such an opportunity is cherished and highly valued.”
