Two people were transferred to Bendigo hospital following a crash at Goornong this afternoon.

Ambulance Victoria were called to the scene at 12.38pm following reports of a single car crashing into a tree near the intersection of Carrs Road and the Midland Highway.
A woman in her 30s had chest pains while a male in his 30s suffered a knock to the head.
“The two patients were transferred to Bendigo in a serious but stable condition,” an Ambulance Victoria spokesman said.
Police and CFA attended the scene. Several passers-by also assisted.
An Ambulance Victoria helicopter was placed on stand-by but was not required.
