A TWO-time premiership forward with Subiaco in the WAFL, who also has VFL experience, has continued Kangaroo Flat’s strong recruiting campaign.
Matt Boland is the latest addition to the Roos ahead of the 2019 BFNL season.
Boland played in Subiaco’s back-to-back WAFL premierships in 2014 and 2015.
He was awarded the Simpson Medal for best-on-ground in the 2015 triumph over West Perth by 66 points – a game in which he kicked seven goals and took six marks.

In 31 senior games in his two years with Subiaco Boland booted 84 goals.
Boland also spent 2012-13 on Collingwood’s VFL list and 2010-11 with Sandringham in the VFL.
He’s also a premiership player and best and fairest with Parkdale in the Victorian Amateurs.
“He was Subiaco’s forward coach while he was playing there, so he brings a lot of experience with him and is going to be great for the young forwards we have at the club,” Kangaroo Flat coach Rob Bennett said.
“He’ll be a deep forward for us, but he has a big fitness base and the pleasing thing in talking to him is it’s not about him kicking all the goals, he’s all about sharing the load and assisting the other forwards with the right running patterns and so on to best hit the scoreboard.”
The addition of Boland follows the Roos having already announced the signings of playing assistant coach and versatile key position player Matt Clifford, as well as midfield pair Scott Jansen and Daniel Rees.
Like Boland, Clifford, Jansen and Rees are all premiership players at previous clubs.
The Roos have also confirmed a number of re-signings – among them 2018 best and fairest winner Liam Collins.
