The class on-baller and half back was at his influential best in leading the Storm to their fifth grand final appearance in the last six seasons.

The best and fairest win was the third in four years for Geary, who topped all Storm players in the league medal count with 13, after he went back-to-back in 2015-16.

Tough on-baller Josh Formosa finished runner-up.

Despite missing a large chunk of the season through injury, 2017 best and fairest and Michelsen medallist Lachlan Sharp won the leading goalkicker award.

The top netball award went to Ash Barbetti following another ultra-consistent season in which she passed the 100-game mark.

Elyse Morgan was the runner-up.

The Storm’s presentation night was a special occasion for Glen Cowling, who was awarded club life membership.
