The Row for Rain originally aimed to raise money for drought-affected farmers, with a marathon 42-kilometre row.
The learning centre expanded the idea and put it alongside a family fun day.
Families participated in various activities, which included a jumping castle, face painting, balloon and market stalls.
Goodstart Golden Square totalled 127 kilometres and raised about $700 from rowing sponsorship, which will go towards Aussie Helpers.
The centre also raised $600 from gold coin donations and stallholder fees, which will be donated to Buy a Bale.
