Bailey, who led the Bulldogs to a second place finish in her first season in the BFNL, said she would wait for the dust to settle on the club’s season before announcing her intentions.
“I haven’t confirmed anything yet, so that’s still up in the air,” she said.
Bailey, who is employed by Netball Victoria as its coach and umpire development manager, joined the Bulldogs after switching roles from her former position as AFL Goldfields netball manager.
She previously led Sunbury to Ballarat league grand finals in 2013 and ’14.
Bailey was keen to ensure Saturday’s extra-time grand final loss to Sandhurst took none of the gloss off an otherwise ‘wonderful’ season for Gisborne.
“Or aim always was to win the grand final and that’s everyone’s aim,” she said.
“But it has been a great season, the girls should be really proud of themselves.
“They have gone one step further than they did last year, so let’s hope they can go one step further next year.”
Bailey was also the division one coach of Victorian Netball League club Ballarat Sovereigns this season.
Highlights of Gisborne’s season included star defender Maddy Stewart’s breakthrough Betty Thompson Medal win, Rylee Connell’s A-reserve league medal win and two teams reaching grand finals, including the Bulldogs’ under-17 team.
