“It was perfectly normal flying, then all of a sudden you’re facing the wrong direction”.
That was how the incident felt to the pilot of the plane involved in an incident at Bendigo Airport this morning.
Neither the pilot or the passenger of the plane was injured in the incident.
Police, CFA and paramedics all attended the incident which occurred at about 1.50pm on Saturday.
Police say a two seater plane with a single engine was travelling at about 60 kilometres per hour finishing up its flight, before a gust of wind seems to have caught the back of the plane, causing it to veer left off the runway.
The owner of the plane said he believed when the plane came into land windshear caused it to go sideways off the runway.
