The Hawks have reappointed A-grade coach Emily Eliades for a third season following their fourth-place finish in 2018.
Eliades, who joined the Hawks following a stint with Maryborough-Castlemaine club Dunolly, will be backed by mostly the same coaching group as this season.
Lisa Clohesy and Marijke Harrison will remain as the respective B-grade and B-reserve coaches, while this season’s 15-and-under coach Tara Sanderson will step up to lead both the 15-and-under and 17-and-under teams in tandem with Rae Baker.
Senior team goal shooter Jenna Baker will coach the D Primary team.
Eliades believed a settled coaching line-up would provide plenty of consistency to the Hawks’ playing group.
“The club was on to us all quite early to get our feelings about whether we wanted to stay around the club, and the lot of us felt it was ‘all in’,” she said.
“We all got along really well (in 2018) and all share the same values and want the club to succeed.
“That’s what we are most excited about going into next year, the fact we’re all on the same page.”
Eliades said all things considered, she was happy with the Hawks’ fourth placing.
A year full of promise ended with plenty of Hawks on the sidelines due to injury, including goal shooter Laura Philbrick and defenders Montana Kekich and Alex Waterman.
The Hawks defeated Elmore in the elimination final to record their first finals win in about five years, but were eliminated by Mount Pleasant in the first semi-final.
It followed a pair of losses to White Hills and Mount Pleasant in the 2017 finals series.
“Considering the hurdles we had, we were really happy with how we ended up,” Eliades said.
“Our goal was to win our first final and we did that.
“But the season more than anything showed what we need for next year, what players we have to look for and what we have to work on.
“It was a good eye-opener and not just with A-grade but across the board.”
Eliades said attention had already turned to recruiting for next season, with approaches made to several players.
That is likely to intensify following Saturday’s completion of the BFNL season.
Meanwhile, ace midcourter Kym Bell has won the Hawks’ A-grade best and fairest, narrowly ahead of defender Kaitlyn McPhee.
It capped a magnificent season for Bell, who was runner-up in the league best and fairest behind Colbinabbin’s Brydie Lawford.
