Richard Dean, 45, appeared for a committal mention at the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, charged with using a carriage service to procure a child under 16 for sexual activity and using a carriage service to transmit images of his penis to a child under 16.
He indicated he would plead guilty to both charges.
The alleged offences occurred earlier this year.
Another charge of using a carriage service to solicit child exploitation material was withdrawn.
Magistrate Sarah Leighfield determined there was sufficient evidence for Dean to stand trial in the Bendigo County Court.
Dean was released on bail, with conditions that included he not make contact with or be in the company of a person aged under 18 without the supervision of their parent or legal guardian.
He will appear in the Bendigo County Court from November.
