The outage was caused by an animal coming into contact with electrical infrastructure, a Powercor spokesperson said.
The power went out about 5.15pm today.
EARLIER: A POWER outage is affecting a number of properties in the Bendigo suburb of Ascot.
A total of 141 customers are affected by a fault at Howard Street, according to Powercor.
The cause is under investigation. A Powercor spokesperson said crews were on the way.
Powercor expects power to be restored by 9.30pm.
