Police are investigating whether a medical episode contributed to a crash at a roundabout in Bendigo today.
A 65-year-old Bendigo man was taken to hospital after the black ute he was driving ran into the back of another vehicle, Leading Senior Constable Pat Allen said.
The ute then hit a second vehicle and the side of the Brian Boru Hotel.
There were no serious injuries but the driver of the black ute was taken to hospital.
Update 3pm:
The driver of a black ute has been taken to hospital following the crash.
Traffic lanes into the roundabout from Chapel Street are being reopened and police expect the last of the vehicles involved in the crash to be towed shortly.
Earlier:
A three-car crash has blocked traffic at one of Bendigo’s busiest roundabouts.
The three-car crash occured at the roundabout at the intersection of Chapel Street, McIvor Highway, Wills Street and Lyttleton Terrace.
Two lanes coming into the roundabout at Chapel Street are now closed to traffic.
Two vehicles - a grey sedan and a white mini-van - have been towed away and the third vehicle, a black ute, has significant damage and is still to be towed.
