A BENDIGO restaurant will donate all sales from three days’ trade to three community groups and causes. Grill’d Bendigo aims to raise $50,000 from its biggest Community Matters Fundraiser, which is arranged for September 14 – 16. “It’s ambitious, but we’re confident that we can achieve this with the support of our community,” Grill’d Bendigo owner Liz Nash said. She said burger purchases at the restaurant between those dates would be treated as donations. Funds raised will be donated to Bendigo Health, The OTIS Foundation and women in sport. “We are often powerless to help people with a sickness, injury or other ailment. What we all can do is lend a hand by helping to raise funds for these groups,” Ms Nash said. Grill’d Bendigo has hosted six fundraisers and donated more than $100,000 to the community since opening its doors eight years ago.
