Coach Greg Thomas wants his side to continue to play with attacking flair in Sunday’s clash at Truscott Reserve.
“There’s going to be a big crowd there on Sunday and we want to put on a good show and win the championship by collecting all three points,’’ Thomas said.
“We won’t be taking Moama lightly. We were 1-0 down to them at half-time last time we played and we were lucky to get away with a 2-1 win.”
Moama-Echcua is ninth on the ladder with four wins, three draws and 12 losses.
Second-placed Shepparton United needs to defeat bottom side Golden City and pray for a Moama-Echuca miracle if its to pinch the championship from the Borough.
In other games, Shepparton South (third) and Strathdale (fourth) will warm up for next week’s finals series by playing Spring Gully and Colts United respectively. Epsom will play for pride in its away game against Shepparton.
Shepparton United has already secured the women’s championship. The only interest in Sunday’s final round is the finishing order of second to fourth for the finals series.
