The Bendigo artist gets a sneak peek of her work being projected on the side of Bendigo Town Hall on Tuesday night.
“The techs involved are doing some magic mapping to make the work fit the building (perfectly),” Roberts said. “So I get to experience it for the first time (on Wednesday night). I’m really nervous about it actually, like most artists I’m a bit of a control freak.”
Roberts’ work – Going With the Flow: A Fusion of Things – will be projected onto the Bendigo Town Hall and accompanied by original music by Jida Gulpilil.
“It is talking about the merging of cultures,” Roberts said. “How Indigenous and western culture (merged) and have since merged with all the other cultures we have in our country.”
The Enlighten projection festival features 19 arts projects around the city between August 29 and 31 before it merges with White Night on September 1.
