Earlier in the week the leadership challenge looked to be between Peter Dutton and Malcolm Turnbull, but as it became clear Turnbull would be ousted Julie Bishop and Scott Morrison put their names forward for the top job.
Amidst all the confusion from Canberra, the Bendigo Advertiser asked the public what they thought about the state of affairs in Australian politics.
The general consensus is politicians are too focused on their own success and have lost sight of what really matters, their constituents.
Some people are tired of the country’s Liberal leadership while others hope to see Australia’s first women in the top job.
