Laird faced a report of engaging in rough conduct against Calivil United’s Sam Brinsmead during the Bears’ 12-point victory over the Demons last Saturday.
Laird was found not guilty of the report at Wednesday night’s tribunal hearing.
Meanwhile, Bridgewater’s Liam Jacques will have a delayed start to his 2019 season.
Jacques was suspended for one match after being found guilty for a report of “headbutting an opponent or making forceful contact to an opponent using the head”.
The offended player was Marong assistant coach Jarrod Fitzpatrick.
The first weekend of Loddon Valley finals will be played at Inglewood on Saturday and Newbridge on Sunday.
