Look for alternative site for law courts
The report of a possible location for Bendigo's Law Courts being the historic School of Mines/TAFE site is very disturbing.

Is the linkage of young male and female TAFE students close by a group of such courts, sometimes involved with the trial of potential criminals, a "good mix"?
An alternative site for a law courts building is therefore strongly recommended – ie the construction of a modern complementary, multi-story building complex immediately north of Bendigo's police station in High St. This would replace a sizable section of High Streets “car city” with an exciting new building complex – including further north, a multi-story car park to service the proposed law courts and adjoining police station.
This would certainly greatly enhance this streetscape on Calder Highway’s southern entrance to Bendigo.
Unlike Greater Bendigo City's fiasco with the much debated industrial park at Marong, it is understood that the Victorian Government could, if necessary, compulsorily acquire this land for a vital public purpose.

Political flip-flopping is ‘disgraceful’
What a disgraceful exhibition by our so called leaders of our once great nation, Malcolm Turnbull's back flipping and flopping over many issues all in his own self interest of being Prime Minister.
The dysfunctional Government are at odds with one an other, while the rest of the nation struggles with drought stricken farmers, high energy costs and climate changes, health, education, employment, housing and immigration issues.
They have been elected to govern for the country and taken a pledge to work for the nation.
It's about time all sides of politics focused on what they are there to do, not listen to self interest groups that have no other motive than their own profits between now and the next election
What are we going to get between now and the next Federal election, because with all this sideshow antics the nation is plummeting into disarray.
Everyone else is put under scrutiny, it's about time the leaders on both sides of politics and all levels followed the same scrutiny.
We need somebody to stand up and and see what is actually needed in the best interest of our nation.

Where is Big Dry fundraising going?
With so many generous people and companies donating to help our drought stricken farmers I would like to know which of these groups collecting the money direct ALL of it to the farmers without taking their share off the top
