An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics were called to Nolan Street, East Bendigo, following reports of a car hitting a tree at 7.15pm.
A man in his 20s was assessed for a non life-threatening head injury at the scene and taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The man was the only occupant in the vehicle to be treated, according to the AV spokesperson, but it is unclear if other passengers were in the vehicle.
A number of emergency services – including SES, CFA and police – attended the scene, close to the Newmarket Hotel.
Traffic on Nolan street suffered minor disruptions.
