Some snow fell on Saturday afternoon, and it seems to have picked up again overnight.
Live video taken by the Top of the Range Tea Rooms “snowcam” shows plenty of snow-seekers out and about early to play in the white stuff.
The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts snow to fall above 500 metres on Sunday, with a very high chance of showers and possible hail.
The Mount Macedon Fire Brigade asks those driving to see the snow to take it slow and keep their full attention on the road.
The brigade advises that if a driver loses traction, they do not brake or accelerate, but keep a firm grip on the wheel and steer gently in the direction they want to go.
