Extra coach and bus services will run for visitors wanting to be part of Bendigo’s first White Night next month.

V/Line train services will run to the normal timetable on top of extra coach services running from Bendigo to Melbourne every hour from 11pm until 3am, stopping at major hubs.
In addition, coaches will run to and from Seymour (via Heathcote), Maryborough (direct) and Echuca (via Rochester and Elmore).
Coaches will depart each town at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm, departing Bendigo again at 10pm, midnight and 2am.
Local bus services in Bendigo will run to the normal timetable until 8pm and starting from 6pm, five White Night bus routes will be running every half hour until 3am.
Rail Projects Victoria has also teamed up with installation artist Georgie Pinn to create an interactive “selfie station”.
People will be able to take a selfie in their choice of a train inspired mask and then see their creation up in lights, with their larger-than-life photo projected live onto the surrounding city buildings.

Minister for Public Transport and Member for Bendigo East Jacinta Allan said with thousands of people expected to converge on Bendigo, it’s important to ensure there is adequate public transport for locals and visitors heading to and from the event.
“It’s time to shine the light on Bendigo – with thousands of people expected to flock to the heart of our city, we’re running extra services to welcome as many people as possible,” she said.
“This will be an incredible opportunity to support local businesses, back local jobs and bring thousands of new visitors to our region.”
White Night Bendigo will take place on Saturday September 1 from 7pm until 2am.

More than 50 works are planned for the seven hour event, which takes place in the Bendigo CBD from 7pm – 2am.
Festivities will span the area from the Poppet Head in Rosalind Park to the Bendigo Library and town hall, and across from Bath Lane to the Conservatory Gardens and McCrae Street.
The program outlines three zones, with Rosalind Park, View Street and the city’s arts precinct dominating zone one.
Bendigo’s Alexandra Fountain, Charing Cross, the Queen’s Gardens, and part of Pall Mall comprise the second zone.
Hargreaves Mall, the rest of Pall Mall, the Hotel Shamrock, the law courts, the visitor centre, the conservatory gardens, the town hall and Bendigo Library are in zone three.
