ITS senior football team won't be playing in it for the first time since 2009, but Bridgewater will host next month’s Loddon Valley league grand final.
The LVFNL’s grand final will be held on Saturday, September 15 – the same day as the North Central decider at Charlton.
Bridgewater last hosted the grand final in 2009 – the year in which Mitiamo defeated Calivil United by 58 points to claim the senior flag and YCW beat Mitiamo in the A-grade netball.
While Bridgewater’s senior football team won’t be participating given it’s out of the finals equation with one round remaining, the Mean Machine’s A-grade netballers may well be there given they sit second and are one of the flag contenders.
The LVFNL finals will begin at Inglewood on Saturday, August 25, with the qualifying final.
• LVFNL finals venues:
Qualifying final (August 25) – Inglewood.
Elimination final (August 26) – Newbridge.
Second semi-final (September 1) – Maiden Gully or Pyramid Hill.
First semi-final (September 2) – Maiden Gully or Pyramid Hill.
Preliminary final (September 8) – Marong.
Grand final (September 15) – Bridgewater.
The finals series is sponsored by Poyser Trucks.
