is to bleach the goodness of nature
and store it in oneself.
....
To teach is to
put on the coat of the child
and seek to speak
at their level.
....
To teach is to help
help the young see
what; otherwise
they could not.
....
To teach
is to love
your subject / pupil.
....
To teach is
to denude oneself
of woe and disbelief.
.....
To teach is
to love teaching.

Nauru treatment
“We are a government of compassion” said the Prime Minister. Is this the same government that has been forced at least nine times by Australian federal courts to bring severely ill children from Nauru for medical treatment that can’t be provided on Nauru? On Manus Island a detainee with a smashed leg waited days for transfer to Australia for diagnosis and treatment while doctors’ recommendations were blocked by bureaucrats of the Home Affairs Department. Only after intense public pressure from doctors and other advocates were bureaucratic blocks overcome so this man could receive urgently needed treatment unavailable on Manus Island. So much for a government of compassion.

Time to get back to basics
My sister is a dairy farmer and has seen many hardships in over 50 years of milking cows, but it never bothers me.
I drive an old foreign car which was given to me, but I use local mechanics. I also use local auto wreckers, shop at Coles and buy mostly Australian products.
When you look in the driveways of some of our wealthier neighbours, it makes you wonder why we even vote for them in their foreign imported cars, with government number plates.
Mechanics make things happen, but if you don’t support them, they can’t support you.
Going back to basics, and the days of preventative maintenance, will get the show back on the road.
