Two men broke into technology store Interact Us at 5.09am on Monday August 13 using a crowbar. The offenders took speakers, amplifiers and the till.
Security footage shows the two men in white hoodies pull up in front of the store in a white Hyundai.
Footage shows the men broke down the front door of the store using a crowbar taken from the boot of their car, setting off the store’s alarms. They then used the crowbar to prise open the door.
Police say the car’s plates were stolen.
This isn’t the first time this has happened to Justin Day, one of the owners of Interact Us.
He was woken by a call from the security company when the alarms went off just after 5am.
Mr Day headed out to the store, but arrived after the offenders had left.
He is confident the police will catch the offenders, but frustrated at the nuisance the offence has caused.
“You know how hard you work, and all the things you do, and unfortunately these scumbags, they just think they’re going to rip people off,” he said.
“It’s just really really disappointing when you think you’re trying to do the right thing, and you’ve got scumbags out there who do things like this to people.”
Mr Day said he was also disappointed by the sight of cars just driving past the store while the door is broken, the offenders are inside, and security alarms are ringing.
A police investigation into the burglary is ongoing.
Police have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or Bendigo Police on 5448 1300.
