SOUTH Bendigo has joined Golden Square on nine wins following the Bloods’ 24 point win against the Bulldogs in round 15 of the Bendigo Junior Football League under-16 seniors competition.

The Bloods, led by a best on ground effort from Kyle Simpkins and five goals from Bryce Laird, defeated the Bulldogs 10.6 (66) to 6.6 (42).
Jack Ginnivan kicked four goals for the Bulldogs.
The teams are placed fourth (South Bendigo) and third respectively on the ladder with one home and away round remaining.
Golden Square will play bottom-side Castlemaine next Sunday, while South Bendigo will meet eighth-placed Eaglehawk.
Fifth-placed Strathfieldsaye scored an impressive 98 point win against Castlemaine at Camp Reserve.
Todd Moule and Lincoln White booted three goals each for the Storm, whose defence was able to restrict the Magpies to a solitary behind.
Top-placed Sandhurst was too strong for Kyneton en-route to a 38 point win at Kyneton Showgrounds.
Cooper Smith kicked five goals and Sam Conforti was best on ground for the 10-4 Dragons, who have a bye next week.
The Dragons restricted the Tigers to one goal until three-quarter time, with the home side matching the league leaders in the final term with four goals apiece.
There was no change to the ladder in an even under-14 seniors competition, despite third-placed Golden Square’s defeat of second-placed Kyneton.
The Bulldogs came from five points down at three quarter time to win a see-sawing contest by eight points.
Bailey Morton and Macey Eaton were best for the Bulldogs.
Top-side Sandhurst defeated fourth-placed Strathfieldsaye by 24 points, with a six-goal to two second quarter proving pivotal.
Nash Dignan was the Dragons’ best, while Michael Kiraly was their chief scorer with three goals.
In under-18 girls matches, Strathfieldsaye scored a big win over Eaglehawk.
Madeline Marks kicked five of the Storm’s 15 goals for the game in an impressive best on ground display.
Top-side Kangaroo Flat warmed up for a showdown against third-placed Golden Square next week with a 25 point victory against fourth-placed Woorinen.
Grace Beckmans and Rachael Stubbings were the standouts for the Roos.
Bree Heiden was best and ground and kicked two goals for Golden Square in a 39 point win against South Bendigo.
Elizabeth Snell, Jordan Savoia and Charlotte Noonan all kicked three goals apiece in fifth-placed Kyneton’s 71 point win against Sandhurst.
