THE Keech Australia Fighting Miners have been dealt injury blows in the lead-up to their Victorian Rugby Union championship division semi-final on Saturday.

The Fighting Miners host Monash University in the second v third semi at Epsom-Huntly Recreation Reserve from 3pm.
However, four players from the Fighting Miners’ usual dominant forward pack won’t be taking to the field.
Prop Jesse Tuitupou and loose forwards Chris Allison and Marchello Van Lyl are all out injured, while flanker Ale Liliva is unavailable.
As a result the Fighting Miners’ squad has been reduced to 19, forcing a re-shuffle of the team.
The Fighting Miners ended the home and away season second on the ladder with an 11-3-1 record from their 15 games.
The Fighting Miners have already met Monash Uni three times this year, with Bendigo winning all three – 27-20, 33-21 and 22-12.
In Saturday’s other semi-final minor premier Shepparton takes on Maroondah.
The two semi-final winners will meet in next weekend’s grand final.
