Bendigo received its highest rainfall for the year overnight, with 22.2 millimetres falling by 9am Wednesday.
Just 0.4mm has fallen in Bendigo since 9am today.
Much of central Victoria received heavy rain overnight.
Castlemaine recorded 17mm, Redesdale 12.4, Maryborough 10 and Echuca 11mm.

Bendigo has had a wet start to Wednesday after 18.4 millimetres rain fell from midnight to 6:30am.
Rain began just after midnight in Bendigo and fell steadily throughout the early morning. It’s expected to continue throughout the day.
Police have urged motorists to stay safe, and drive to the wet road conditions.
Bendigo is forecast to reach 14 degrees on Wednesday, with the chance of a thunderstorm around lunchtime.
The rest of central Victoria isn’t missing out though.
Castlemaine, Kyneton, Maryborough and Echuca are also likely to get some more rain today after they also received and overnight deluge.
The Bureau of Meteorology cancelled a severe weather warning for damaging winds overnight, previously issued for central Victoria and other parts of the state.
The BoM report that the immediate risk of damaging winds has passed.
There’s also a chance of snow falling above 1300 metres.
